If you’re a coffee enthusiast, Cincinnati might just be your next favorite city to explore. A recent study by personal finance brand WalletHub ranked the top 100 cities in the U.S. based on their coffee culture, and guess who made it to the list? That’s right—Cincy came in at No. 20.

The study evaluated 12 key metrics, including the number of affordable coffee shops, coffee houses, and cafés per capita, the number of coffee and tea manufacturers per capita, average price per pack of coffee, and the share of adult coffee drinkers. You can check out all the details—including the full list of metrics—[here](http://www.wallethub.com/edu/best-cities-for-coffee-lovers/29853).

In Cincinnati, we excel when it comes to the number of affordable coffee shops, coffee houses, and cafés per capita—we ranked second in that category. However, when considering the number of highly-rated establishments (those with at least a 4.5-star rating), we dropped to No. 23. On the bright side, Cincinnati ranks third for having the lowest price of a cappuccino and is solidly in the middle at 55th for average price of a pack of coffee. Overall, Cincinnati scored 56.36 out of 100, making us the best in our region. Other nearby cities didn’t fare quite as well, with Louisville ranking 45th, Indianapolis 47th, Columbus 74th, Lexington 87th, and Cleveland 88th.

But fear not, coffee connoisseurs—there’s a weekend-long celebration of all things java coming up this fall with the return of the Cincinnati Coffee Festival on October 25–26. The event serves as a major fundraiser for the Ohio River Foundation and will feature more than 60 local and national vendors, live music, expert demonstrations, and even a latte art competition. As Event Director Judi Cogen put it in a press release, “The WalletHub study confirms what many of us already know—Cincinnati takes its coffee seriously.”

So, coffee lovers, mark your calendars and get ready to immerse yourself in the city’s vibrant coffee culture.
